Our Trip to Faulkner's Bush

We went to Faulkner's bush. It was a beautiful environment all around. As we walked into the swaying forest the cheeky fantails swooped above us.  By India

I heard leaves rustling in the wind in my ear and the evergreen trees swishing in the sky and the sound of shoes trampling on the smallest leaves. By Ben E

Tweet, tweet, tweet went the little singing birds, the wind was whispering in my ear and the trees swayed in the soft wind. Everybody got prepared and we went off on a walk. The green scenery was amazing. It felt like Mother Nature was looking over us. By Emma

It was time to go into the bush. First we went in a circle then we were back where we started. We took the steps to a hill. I got a bit tired. We went through the tickly grass to the top of the hill and we saw houses and the school. By Joshua

When we got in the bush we sketched the trees and then we went further into the bush. I saw a bridge and a creek was under the bridge too. When we got up to the top of the hill we started to sketch Wakefield School.  By Matt

The smell of green tickled my nostrils and tuis, fantails and wood pigeons tweeted in my ears. By Grace

Water Safety Day

Today we did water safety day. We had to wear our old clothes and our life jacket. When I fell out of the boat I started drowning. I saw a rope so I clung on to it. Pat pulled me up. I was saved!
Then I saw someone else drowning. I helped pull her in. She was saved.  By Seth

Splash into the water and swimming to the shallows. My head went in and out of the water, I felt like a balloon floating in my life jacket. By the way I was in my clothes! As I went and gripped the rope I felt like I had just jumped off a real boat! Water safety day was awesome.  By Emma

Ready, steady.....splash! I was in, I had jumped in! I closed my eyes in the water so that the chlorine wouldn't get in them. I took off my life-jacket and waited for my turn to be pulled up by the rope. I finally got out of the pool and got in the shallow end and pretended that everyone was going to get eaten by sharks!  by Charlotte

Aaaaaaaaa! I fell overboard! I was wearing a life-jacket. Patrick pulled me in with a strong rope.
It was fun.    By Max

"India," Ms Cooke said. I jumped into the pool. It had chlorine water filled all the way to the top. Then I swam to the other side, my life-jacket wet but my clothes soaking. It was so hard climbing out of the pool soaking wet!  By India

We Love Gardening!

We dug for potatoes in the vegetable garden. It was hard work! We found small, medium, big and huge potatoes.

We picked the juicy, ripe tomatoes.

We enjoyed sowing broccoli and pea seeds.

The cooks chopped up the spinach for the yummy spinach patties.
They chopped up the fresh, crunchy food and had fun decorating the ginormous plate with it.
We all had a taste of the healthy and delicious food.

Back to school with a flying start!
